VCUarts Summer Pre-College Teaching Assistant
Description of the Job:
The Virginia Commonwealth University, School of the Arts (VCUarts) seeks teaching assistants to teach in the Summer Pre-College Program for High School Students: July 7 - 26, 2024. Training and orientation equivalent to four hours will be required of the candidate prior to the start of the program.

Responsibilities include:
-Complete required youth training
-Assist Instructor with the overall skills development of the students through discussion, critique, evaluation for the duration of the course
-Chaperone students while in buildings
-Escort students to facilities when needed
-Ensure quality and effectiveness of the Summer Pre-College Program
-Enforce Program policies and procedures at all times
-Other duties as assigned by the Program Director or course Instructor
Required Qualifications:
-BFA degree, or current BFA/MFA student
-High energy, enthusiastic
-Enjoy working with creative and passionate students
-Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
-Knowledge of VCUarts campus, equipment and resources
