The University of Utah School of Medicine's Department of Human Genetics (www.genetics.utah.edu) is hiring evolutionary genetics faculty to expand its exceptional research strength in this area, recent growth, and the potential for future research growth. In this year's recruitment, we are searching for outstanding applicants for one or more tenure-track positions at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor.

Competitive candidates will demonstrate an ability to develop independent and vigorous research programs, with the potential to enhance our campus-wide, interdisciplinary evolutionary biology and genome science communities. Applications by investigators, both experimental and theoretical, in all areas of evolutionary genetics and genomics of any organism(s) are encouraged. Investigators with expertise in the following areas are particularly encouraged: microbial evolutionary genomics, vertebrate population genomics, comparative evolutionary genetics, and human evolutionary genomics. Faculty hired through this initiative will participate in the development and teaching of innovative courses.
