Medical Physics Summer Intern
The Medical Physics Summer Intern will support medical health physics activities in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Gamma Knife, and PET/Cyclotron Facility. Duties include: participation in audits to assure compliance with regulations and requirements; development of radiation safety policies and procedures; participation in gamma cameras, PET scanners, and diagnostic x-ray equipment QA/QC programs; preparing radiation safety training; and support of an extensive radiopharmaceutical therapy program.
Student must be actively enrolled in a Physical Science Bachelor’s program, Physics or Health Physics major is preferred. Must be able to use computer systems (eg Microsoft Office Suite), and have excellent email and telephone communications skills.
