Interior Designer

Design & Construction

 

Impact & Responsibilities: Provides interior design and planning services including developing, recommending, and approving selections of furniture, floor, wall, ceiling, and window coverings, paint colors, materials, signage, and decorative lighting design required for new construction, building renovation, and facility refurbishing projects; prepares and presents program, preliminary, and final layouts for review and approval; monitors projects to ensure adherence to planned design and budget allowances; performs and coordinates space planning studies with campus architectural, engineering, and landscape staff; and surveys and categorizes existing usable furnishings according to eventual use.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field plus at least one year of experience or an associate's degree in interior design plus at least four years of experience required.

Spring 2024 graduates will be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to start date.

Student experience will be considered.

Preferred: NCIDQ licensing
