Job Description

Performs a variety of routine and straightforward laboratory activities that support ongoing analysis of foods, feeds, and related byproducts, by laboratory specialists. Performs work with basic communication skills and through regular exchange of information.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Process samples for laboratory analyses, that includes grinding, blending, and weighing.
  • Clean laboratory glassware, and equipment, for use in analyses.
  • Receive, organize, and store samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements.
  • Record all data (paper and electronic) In specified forms. Assist in reviewing laboratory data, when needed.
  • Prepare chemical solutions.
  • Maintain record books of laboratory balances' (i.e., electronic scales).
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of laboratory rooms.
  • Performs work with basic communication skills and through regular exchange of information.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Shift

7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Friday

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $12.36 - $17.50 (hourly)

Grade: GGS-004
