Job Description

The Trulaske College of Business is hiring a full-time Office Support Assistant IV. This team member will manage the front office for Trulaske College of Business Student Programs Office (which coordinates the Trulaske Edge professional development program, scholars and enrichment programs, student organizations, alumni mentoring, etc.).

Job duties include:

Welcoming and directing visitors who visit the office.
Gaining a deep understanding of program offerings to assist answering program questions from students, faculty, staff, and external constituents through in-person visits, phone calls, and emails.
Providing administrative support to the Assistant Dean.
Maintaining necessary supplies and general office upkeep on a regular basis. Request maintenance support when needed.
Scheduling events and meetings (including room reservations); developing and distributing meeting agendas and recording and distributing meeting minutes, as needed.
Assigning courses to faculty within the MyZou course management platform for the represented programs.
Providing fiscal support; including reconciliation of mocodes, processing of non-PO vouchers, requisitions, travel and expense reimbursements, One Card processing, and assisting with the development of budgets in support areas.
Assisting with scheduling and coordinating travel associated with these programs (including reconciling travel purchases).
Managing database of key contacts for the assigned program areas.
Editing written content produced by this office.
Other duties as assigned.

This position's success will be determined by their accuracy, organizational skills, attendance and punctuality, communication skills, response time, and satisfaction of the constituents that this position supports.

Shift

The office is open M-F from 8-5, which represents the typical working hours. We are a staff-centered team committed to working with the successful candidate to arrange mutually agreeable working hours that best suit the candidate and program needs.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
  • An associate degree in business administration or related field, a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of related experience in business or higher education working with a variety of constituents and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with computer applications and office technology, such as Microsoft (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams) and the Adobe suite.
  • Interest in and ability to learn new technology.
  • Willingness to adapt in a vibrant, student-focused environment.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to produce quality work while working independently.
  • Excellent customer service skills including written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • A commitment to lifelong learning for individual growth and growth within this role.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $14.51-$19.92 per hour

Grade: GGS-006
