Job Description

Performs a variety of laboratory support tasks in relation to the analysis of foods, feeds, and related byproducts. By following official methods of analyses, and standard laboratory protocols, provides routine assistance to laboratory analytical specialists and chemists. Effectively conveys understandable technical information to all relevant parties.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Performs all levels of routine sample preparation for nutritional analysis.
  • Oversees glassware recycling and cleaning program for reuse.
  • Prepares and reviews laboratory analytical reports.
  • Provide task/activity-level direction to others with less experience.
  • Assists in receiving, organizing, and the safe storage of laboratory samples.
  • Maintains laboratory chemical and glassware inventory related to tasks.
  • Provides recommendations to supervisor as needed and/or requested.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Shift

Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $12.73-$20.00 (Hourly)

Grade: GGS-005
