Job Description

The Department of Nutrition and Exercise Physiology at the University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a Skeletal Muscle Biology and Exercise Physiology Research and Teaching Faculty Member to join a cadre of world-class researchers, educators, and clinicians who are focused on precision nutrition and lifestyle intervention approaches for the prevention and treatment of age-associated sarcopenia and cardiometabolic diseases and related disorders. We particularly want to hear from candidates who conduct clinical and translational research and study protein dynamics.

The successful applicant will be expected to: 1) maintain a nationally and internationally recognized extra-mural funded research program, 2) contribute to the Department's and School's teaching efforts at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the candidate's area of expertise, and 3) provide service to the school, university, community, and profession.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: PhD
Candidates will be evaluated on clinical and translation research activity, expertise in evaluating protein dynamics, scholarly activity, record of teaching and advising of graduate/ undergraduate students, and a desire to contribute to the research, teaching, and serving mission of a dynamic, well-supported, and growing academic medical center and School of Medicine.
