Job Description

The University of Missouri-Columbia, Department of Medicine is seeking a Division Chief of Nephrology. The incoming Division Chief will lead Division contributions to the tripartite academic mission of research, education and clinical service. The Division has a robust clinical enterprise with excellent patient care, internationally recognized research in peritoneal dialysis, and a highly reputable fellowship program. The clinical enterprise consists of full-spectrum inpatient and outpatient kidney disease services, including transplant. NIH-funded research in the Division centers on kidney inflammation and injury, with novel development of a monitoring device in CKD. Division investigators benefit from and contribute to a vibrant research environment and collaborations across the University of Missouri. The Nephrology fellowship hosts six fellows, and the Division has led the Annual Dialysis Conference – the largest dialysis conference in the world – since 1980.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
B/C in Nephrology

Candidates will be evaluated on:
Demonstrated record of success in scholarship and patient care, and an aptitude for collaboration, innovation and program development. Experience in Academic Medicine and leadership.
