Diagnostic Program Coordinator

Full time

Duties and Responsibilities:

Answer phone calls and advise or direct them appropriately
Process referrals and diagnostic intake paperwork and be a resource for families and referring providers inquiring about diagnostic process or evaluations
Ensure accurate completion of all intake paperwork prior to adding to diagnostic waitlist
Accurately schedule appointments for diagnostic evaluations and medical follow-up at the Center
Verify patient information and update records
Coordinate with billing specialist and office staff to address needs for both clients and diagnostic professional staff regarding appointment times and billing
Prepare necessary documents in advance of diagnostic evaluation including requests for medical records and preparing paper chart
Maintain the patient's electronic chart in electronic medical records system with accuracy and attention to detail
Greet and check-in patients for diagnostic evaluations or medical follow-up
Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and other professionals

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
One year of administrative experience working in a medical office setting a plus
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Able to lift at least 25 pounds, to sit on the floor, and to be physically active
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to communicate professionally to families and business partners/other agencies
