Diagnostic Program Coordinator

Full time

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls and advise or direct them appropriately
  • Process referrals and diagnostic intake paperwork and be a resource for families and referring providers inquiring about diagnostic process or evaluations
  • Ensure accurate completion of all intake paperwork prior to adding to diagnostic waitlist
  • Accurately schedule appointments for diagnostic evaluations and medical follow-up at the Center
  • Verify patient information and update records
  • Coordinate with billing specialist and office staff to address needs for both clients and diagnostic professional staff regarding appointment times and billing
  • Prepare necessary documents in advance of diagnostic evaluation including requests for medical records and preparing paper chart
  • Maintain the patient's electronic chart in electronic medical records system with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Greet and check-in patients for diagnostic evaluations or medical follow-up
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and other professionals


Required Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of administrative experience working in a medical office setting a plus
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to lift at least 25 pounds, to sit on the floor, and to be physically active
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to communicate professionally to families and business partners/other agencies
