Description: Postdoctoral Research Associate position at Princeton University's Electric Propulsion & Plasma Dynamics Laboratory (EPPDyL) Princeton's EPPDyL has an open position at the postdoc or more senior research rank for experimental work on plasma propulsion. The candidate must have PhD in engineering or physics with solid knowledge of plasma propulsion principles, and significant experience in working with plasma thrusters. The main functions include contributing to the design of plasma thrusters and related systems, carrying out experimental measurements in EPDDyL's facilities using various plasma diagnostic techniques, conducting data analysis, writing technical reports and co-authoring publications. Familiarity with thrust measurement, optical diagnostics, and high-power plasma propulsion is a plus, so is the ability to carry out analytical and numerical analyses. The appointment will be through the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
