Joyson Safety Systems Acquisition has openings for Program Engineering Managers at its facility in the Auburn Hills, Michigan. Job duties include:

1.Managing new model programs and launches for airbags and inflators to ensure customer objectives are met including problem solving during key milestones, managing manufacturing and coordination between engineering groups. 
2.Keeping management informed of engineering-related issues and financial status pertaining to launch.
3.Representing the Company at pre-mass production meetings and build events. 
4.Planning and developing methods, procedures, problem solving and risk mitigation for implementing pre-production builds and Start of Production (S.O.P.).
5.Reviewing Key Program Indicators (KPI), risk assessments, program status summaries, etc. to ensure program progress is meeting all customer expectations.
6.Preparing Project Plan Development and Timeline program reports; and identifying and tracking program milestones.

Position requires:  Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent education, 3 years’ experience working in the automotive restraints industry in the position of Program Engineering Manager, Process Engineer, or other engineering positions. 3 years’ experience is required in each of the following:

1.Managing airbag and inflator programs and launch readiness.  
2.Problem solving related to manufacturing and performance of airbag and inflators.  
3.Working with other company functions, including management, to ensure program milestones and financial targets are met.  
4.Provide support and risk mitigation for all pre-production builds and S.O.P. 
5.Analyzing KPI’s, data and drawings relating to customer requirements. 
6.Preparing Project Plan Development and Timelines through project life milestones, deliverables & risks.
