Part-Time Weekend Merchandiser

* This is a part-time position to restock local grocery store cooolers, shelves and displays on Saturdays and Sundays.

*  Hourly rate is $20.00 * Time-and-a-half for Holidays.

*  Time off as needed.

Position Qualifications

*  Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record to drive our vehicles. 

The Fahr Beverage story begins with Ev and Helen Fahr, who purchased the beer division of Capitol Tobacco Company in 1958. In the early years, there were only seven employees working to distribute beer to the Cedar Valley from the office at 326 W. 18th Street in Waterloo.

Less than 10 years later, Fahr Beverage moved into a brand-new warehouse at 323 W. 17th Street, where Ev Fahr continued to lead the company’s growth until he passed away in 1979. Ev’s son, Bob Fahr, took over leadership of the company and remains the President of Fahr Beverage to this day. Under Bob’s leadership, Fahr Beverage moved in 1981 to its current location at 1369 Martin Road in Waterloo.

By 1987, Fahr Beverage grew again thanks to a merger with Klawitter Distributing Company, owned by Ev and Helen Fahr’s daughter, Marlene Klawitter, and her husband Dick. In 1998, a little more than a decade after that merger, Fahr Beverage expanded by adding 20,000 square feet of office and cooler space, doubling the size of its facility.
