Position Summary
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Austin Peay State University invites applications for an Instructor of Mathematics position. This is a fulltime, 9-month, 3 year, renewable position to begin August, 2024.
Austin Peay State University is a four-year public, doctoral-level university, with six colleges and four Chairs of Excellence. The University has an enrollment of about 9,000 students and is located in Clarksville, Tennessee, a community of an estimated 176,000 people located approximately 40 miles northwest of Nashville, TN.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching general education mathematics courses at the Clarksville and Fort Campbell campuses and other locations as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Applicants should have demonstrated excellence in:
•Experience in teaching general education and/or dual enrollment courses
•Familiarity with instructional technology
•A commitment to continued professional growth
•A willingness to work with other faculty members.
Physical Requirements
Required Minimum Qualifications
• A Master's degree in Mathematics or closely related area
• A minimum of 18 semester hours in graduate level mathematics, statistics, or related areas.
• A background search will be required of the successful candidate.
