POSITION SUMMARY

- Work the designated hours required by the shift in which you are placed. You are expected to utilize your time wisely in investing the majority of your time facilitating the functionality of the Service Operations Manager.
- Developing and maintaining a successful and professional service team.
- Establishing and maintaining consistent policies and procedures.
- Business planning, tracking, and reporting for the Service Department.
- Tracking and managing the dealership's Service sales processes.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and participate in any functions as required in the meetings.
- Greet customers in an enthusiastic manor welcoming them to Honda Morristown and assist them in locating the proper associate and/or department within our dealership.
- Create an atmosphere that is both exhilarating and exciting so that all associates and customers can experience why Vatland is "For the People".
- Be an up-lifting, positive and a motivating influence to all associates with in our organization, build up each of our associates moral and encourage them to achieve their maximum potential.
- This position will require interaction with but not limited to, management staff, service and parts customers, service and parts employees, and the sales staff.
- You are to achieve service sales quotas as set by the General Manager and/or President, though a progressive marketing and advertising campaign as required for the growth of the Service Department.
Requirements:
- You are in charge of the operations and personnel that tests and repairs automotive vehicles. You advise and direct our technicians in analyzing and repairing cars and trucks. Your job also requires interaction with customers to answer questions and address issues to which your staff cannot adequately respond.
- In addition to managerial and supervisory skills, your job requires insight into the basics of automotive technology; with expertise in identifying and resolving a wide range of automotive failures and inconsistencies, utilizing visual inspection with computerized analysis.
- Your job requires you to screen and hire competent personnel including but not limited to, service advisors, technicians, and service porter.
- You job also entails keeping the service department (shop area) clean and operating safely in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines regarding hazardous materials handling and disposal.
- Your job requires a combination of standing, sitting, and walking, as well as excellent visual skills and auditory skills to be able to inspect vehicles and clearly communicate with your automotive repair staff.
- You must maintain good oral and written communication both with our employees and the customers we serve.
- Work the designated hours required by Honda Morristown. You are expected to utilize your time wisely in investing the majority of your time facilitating the management of the service department.
- Utilize the Lifetime Customer Care tools that are provided to us through the Honda IN system, most importantly the ServiceSmarts operations for maximizing your departments' sales and gross potential.
- Utilize the F.O.C. tool as provided to us through the Honda IN system, working closely the parts managers; maximizing the profitability of the service department while contributing the growth of both departments.
- Maintain a CSE score above district; this is necessary in developing customers for life.
