Job Title: Custodian/Operations Support
Classification: Hourly, Full Time, Benefited
Number of Openings: 3
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week. 7.5 hour shifts 5 days per week. The following shift schedules are available - 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm/10 pm to 6 am/11:30 pm to 7:30 am

Supervisor: Director of Capital Planning, Development and Operations
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience

JOB SUMMARY
This position will serve 90% of their role as custodians and 10% of their role providing maintenance assistance.
JOB RESPONSILITIES
Maintains a clean and operationally efficient campus. Specific campus cleaning tasks assigned daily that will include, but not be limited to cleaning, sanitizing, polishing, trash gathering, parking lot and grounds clean up (trash pickup only). = 90%
Keep building maintained and in good condition by performing the following types of tasks:
- Sweep and mop or vacuum floors
- Empty trash
- Clean and/or disinfect surfaces and clinic areas
- Clean and service restrooms
- Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors
- Dust furniture
- Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected
- Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
- Organize janitorial storage areas
- Notify supervisor about unsafe conditions or the need for repairs or maintenance
Have a minor role in day-to-day performance of maintenance duties and handling basic building repairs if necessary, plus other duties as assigned. = 10%
Assist with light maintenance as needed to ensure building is maintained and in good condition by performing the following types of tasks:
- Assist with moving equipment and furniture
- Assist with maintenance of outdoor grounds
- Assist with changing light bulbs and other minor repairs

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Training:
Required
- none
Preferred
- high school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Required
- 1+ years working in some type of cleaning/maintenance
Preferred
- 3+ years cleaning/maintenance experience at a University/College
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required
- Efficient communication skills
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to run or walk at a brisk pace
- Basic math skills for mixing cleaners as needed
Preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Some experience in Office 365, TEAMS, and other software-based programs
Other Qualifications:
Required
- Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade
- Ability to life and manipulate heavy objects
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
- Ability to understand written and verbal communication and instruction
- Manage time efficiently
- Work well individually and as part of a team
