Perform installation, maintenance and repair of low voltage electrical systems and HVAC controls. Apprentice-level technician will have appropriate supervision. Perform commissioning and balancing of HVAC control systems. Interpret and use schematics and blueprint drawings to complete the installation and troubleshooting of electrical conduit systems, wiring and device termination in a commercial construction setting. Ensure compliance with regulations including all applicable Building, Electrical and University and departmental standards and guidelines. May be required to be available after normal hours of operation and reached by phone 24/7. Required to carry a personal cellphone for business use. Position may be hired at a higher level to include foreman duties depending on operational needs and candidate qualifications. Foreman level position includes training and overseeing others and confirmation of scope, schedule, and budget requirements on all work assignments and coordinate changes in a timely manner. Depending of the level of assigned scope of work, projects may include leadership of large improvement projects with complex scopes, increased responsibilities and elevated budgets. Must be available 24/7 by personal cell phone to support daily operations and respond to campus emergencies, as well as periodic on-call rotations on weekends and after hours.
