The Truckee Fire Protection District is seeking candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant has 2 tiers; I and II. We are seeking candidates of both skill levels.

The Position
Under general and guided direction this position performs specific tasks in support of the Finance Director, Administrative Officer, Training Officer, Fire Chief, Division Chief and Fire Marshal.
This position is classified as “Miscellaneous” and works a 40- hour work week.
Key Duties and Responsibilities of both tiers:
Answering phones, interaction with the public, assist with: accounts payable and receivable, payroll and banking responsibilities, administrative and clerical tasks, draft correspondence, a variety of other executive, administrative, and financial tasks, and maintenance of training software. The Tier II candidate would additionally act as Clerk of the Board, maintain District website, and oversee few additional software platforms.

Compensation
Salary rates effective February 1, 2022

Admin Assist I - $4,864.00 - $5,503.00/monthly
- Admin Assist II - $6,285.00 - $7,111.00/monthly

Minimum Required Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills
-
Previous work experience in a professional office setting performing a variety of administrative and financial support functions.

Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook and other office software programs.

Excellent verbal and writing abilities.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills
with attention to detail.

Integrity and ability to maintain office confidentiality.

Professional appearance with a positive attitude and
willingness to work closely with others.

Be a self-motivated self-starter with the ability to
multi-task in a busy office environment and able to work on your own.
