FULL-TIME FINANCE SPECIALIST – BOROUGH OF RARITAN, SOMERSET COUNTY
Raritan Borough is accepting applications for an immediate Full-Time Finance Specialist.
- Experience and proficiency in municipal accounting; Edmunds software; payroll processing, including NJ Division Pension & Benefit applications; as well as Word, Excel and general municipal-government practices required. Must be highly organized, detail orientated and able to perform various finance-related functions and multi-task. Experience with R&L payroll software is preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Payroll processing, including pension, IROC and payroll agency
- Accounts payable, including EOY requirements
- Purchase requisitions and purchase orders
- Bill lists
- Payment and check processing
- Accounts receivable functions
- Daily cash receipt postings and deposits
- Revenue and expenditure/budget reports
- Developers escrow management and bank reconciliations.
Finance Specialist will also perform as the backup to the Office of the Tax Collector by assisting with payment receipts and payment processing in the absence of the Tax Collector.
Finance Specialist will perform additional various duties and functions as assigned by the CFO.
Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., with a 45-minute lunch.
