We are looking for a key person to join our team in our new facility in Waco, Nebraska in a multi-faceted role as a quality and food safety manager. Job requirements for this position include the following:
· Establish and enforce food safety/quality control policies
· Supervise and evaluate plant quality and food safety programs
· Supervise and enforce all food safety rules and regulations
· Oversee plant SQF and internal audit programs and auditing schedules
· Obtain and maintain SQF certifications
· Review equipment for food safety compliance
· Serve as support for implementation of HACCP Team
o Support HACCP team
o Support HACCP program
o Maintain HACCP training
· Serve as PCQI(Preventative Controls Qualified Individual) for the company
· Become the resident expert on all quality and food safety programs/policies
· Work closely with plant, sales, marketing and CEO to resolve and document customer complaints
· Maintain all food safety and quality records and training
· Food Defense leader and trainer
· Provide orientation and training for new employees
· Responsible for recipe development
· Other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or CEO
· Other duties in support of the Safety Officer
Supervise and enforce occupational safety policies

Bachelor of Science degree in Food Safety/manufacturing or equivalent job experience preferred.
5 years of experience in Food Safety/quality fields, preferably in ready to eat products.

PCQI certification preferred
HACCP certification preferred
Managerial experience preferred
Skills: Demonstrated leadership ability
Ability to motivate staff
Manage multiple tasks at the same time
Strong written and oral English skills
Computer skills in business software
Highly organized and detail oriented
Must be self-directed and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
Must have excellent time management skills, be able to prioritize work, and problem solve
Represent the company to the public in a positive and friendly manner
Maintain a positive attitude and have ability to work well with others
