Government Affairs Specialist
Statewide Trade Association is looking for team member to be responsible for assisting Government Affairs team in all aspects of the department. Responsible for ensuring the advocacy of the Association is running at optimal level. Day-to-Day responsibilities include scheduling, tracking legislation (both state and county), conducting research and writing testimony. Team member will also be responsible for managing Political Action Committees. Other responsibilities include managing all communication dealing with the Advocacy of the Association including social media, blogs, member communication and public relations.
Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer of the Association and works closely will all of the Government Affairs staff to ensure seamless departmental interaction on all legislative, regulatory and political issues. Team member will work with other Association staff as needed. This position has flexibility and the opportunity to grow with in the Association.
