Henderson Health Care Services, Inc, a growing, non-profit, community-based health care network, is seeking a full time Clinical Informatics Specialist. Our mission is to provide professional, competent, ethical, and compassionate health care to individuals, families and the community.
Full time- 32 – 40 hours. The Clinical Informatics develops and helps to maintain the electronic medical system and software applications in the Hospital and its associated clinics. Responsibilities include coordinating the development, delivery, and evaluation of clinical staff education related to the Clinical Information System. Performs routine healthcare application support, installation and maintenance. Facilitates training sessions and maintains documents. Researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations for application work flow improvements. Participates in system review, design, development and testing. Develops protocols, policies, procedures, and quality metrics. Ensures compliance with regulations. Nursing degree a plus but not required. Proficient in working with computers and software programs. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:
Degree in Nursing a plus but not required, Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of (1) year in health care and/or related technology experience preferred.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with patient care processes and clinician workflow, and leads initiatives to promote effective process design, development and implementation of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other applications. Is a resource person for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinicians, as related to technology changes and implementations. Communicates appropriately and clearly to physicians, staff, clinical managers and administrative team. Works with clinical staff to optimize medical record documentation and the use of the EMR as a communication tool.
Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of patients medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained.
Presents self in a professional manner and development through participation in education programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops. Seeks opportunities for continued growth and performance improvement. Always maintains a professional appearance and manner. Dependable and completes work in a timely manner. Demonstrates an understanding and emphasis on quality and knowledge of duties and tasks.
