- POSITION SUMMARY
- The Fitch unit is a 45 bed, Medical Unit with approximately 120 employees. The average patient census is 38 with a focus on Infection, Respiratory, Diabetic, GI, Oncology, End of Life, and some surgical. The unit offers a meditation room for its employees and has an admissions nurse on in the evenings for additional coverage and support.
POSITION HOURS
36 hours, Nights and every other weekend, 7:00pm - 7:30am

- EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors of Science in Nursing Preferred.
- Experience: Nurses who are hired as new graduates with a temporary license are placed into this level.
- Licensure: Graduate Nurse status is designated for those individuals who hold temporary licensure to practice under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This status is maintained from date of hire until the issuance of a permanent license by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
- Technical Certification: Ability to obtain BCLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.
- Professional Certification: Nurses are expected to pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within three years of entering the specialty practice.
- Software/ Hardware: Ability to advance basic computer skills as the health system adds new systems or performs upgrades to existing systems.

- OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Schedule: Work schedule may include 8-12 hours per day with weekend/holiday coverage based on individual unit needs. Personnel are expected to cover for absences by rotating, working extra shifts, or use of on-call as needed. Nursing personnel are assigned to one area upon employment, but may be required to assume assignments in other areas to meet patient needs.
