Job Summary:
Under general supervision, provides complex administrative support to an individual, office, department or program. Work requires comprehensive knowledge of the organization or program where assigned, skill in working with issues related to policy, procedures, and confidential matters, and involves considerable participation in the work of the supervisor. Incumbents exercise discretion and judgment with considerable consequence of error.
Essential Responsibilities:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate's degree or bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent or some higher education experience will be considered.
Experience:
Three years of progressive experience in a professional environment or workplace where customer service experience is essential.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
General knowledge of and skill in the practical application of generally accepted office practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing. Ability to proofread and edit written documents. Skill in various computer software packages, such as word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation programs, Internet, email and calendaring software. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties in a courteous and efficient manner. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to learn technical jargon related to accreditation and basic skills in using Microsoft Office software, especially spreadsheets and database software applications.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Incumbents exercise discretion and judgment with considerable consequence of error.
Essential Responsibilities:
- The incumbent is expected to answer the departmental phone line and support the Assistant Vice President of Planning & Assessment with scheduling meetings through Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
- The person is also expected to provide general office support to the entire Office of Planning and Assessment. The incumbent will need to secure meeting spaces.
- The incumbent is expected to assist in the fulfillment of data requests, which are requested through the key officer, Director of Institutional Research, Director of Sponsored Programs and Research, or the Director of Assessment.
- The position will assist in the production, editing, and proofreading of major reports and documents as needed.
- The incumbent will assist in the management of the unit budget by providing regular updates and assisting with producing requisitions and the overall purchasing and acquiring of office supplies, conferences registrations, and other duties as required.
- The incumbent will maintain the external “reports due” calendar, vacation calendar and others; maintain dates and financial dues needed for specialized accreditation agencies; and assist in the administration of internal and external surveys.
Education:
