Warrant and Repair Administrator
Summary
Administer parts warranty and repairs by executing strategy provided by Lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
⦁ Designs, automates, implements and administers the warranty and repair process and tracking systems to reduce costs and increase efficiencies.
⦁ Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or trains and within the storage facility.
⦁ Serve on-call (24 hours/day, at least 15 days/ month) as assigned to respond to emergencies and other order and shipping needs.
⦁ Evaluates, writes and fills work orders and warranty claims.
⦁ Identify lowest cost and highest quality repair services providers and arranges transportation to and from providers
⦁ Calculates total cost ROI and identifies additional items for repair based on this analysis
⦁ Captures and tracks warranty information and achieves highest return on warranty policy settlements.
⦁ Files and manages warranty claims to resolution.
⦁ Evaluates warranty claims and determines if additional is testing needed.
⦁ Maintains accurate and thorough records of repairs and warranty claims and status of investigations.
⦁ Follows procedures for policy settlements for equipment out of warranty.
⦁ Prepares and maintains accuracy of cost savings and warranty recovery reports for senior leadership.
⦁ Works with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal and other functions to ensure company recovers appropriate warranty payment
⦁ Arranges transportation for other non-repair shipments when primary transportation personnel are not available
⦁ Is available as backup for infrequent, after-hours parts shipment emergencies
⦁ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent, 6 months-1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with warranty claims (RMA process) is required. A transportation background is preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, specifically, Word and Excel.
