Position Summary:
As a member of the Senior Executive Team, the Chief Development Officer (CDO) will provide comprehensive planning, implementation, management, and oversight to all areas of advancement and alumni relations. Responsibilities include the leadership of the current integrated campaign, oversight of the advancement team, direct management of three team members, and relationship management with key donors and stakeholders. The CDO will work in close partnership with the President and Executive Leadership team to ensure the strategic priorities of the University are realized.

Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of philanthropy and ensure that Advancement is executed in keeping with the values, vision, and mission of the University.
- Work in partnership with the President and the Advancement Committee to monitor and achieve fundraising effectiveness and efficiency.
- Development and implement fundraising strategies that will guide the University to meet fundraising goals and maximize opportunities around foundation, corporate, and individual support.
- In collaboration with fundraising counsel, a campaign cabinet, and the leadership team, drive a successful integrated campaign.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure that there is an integrated and cross-functional approach to Advancement which supports the strategic growth and sustainability of the University.
- Manage a portfolio of donor relationships from a variety of sources including individual, grant and corporate opportunities.
- Manage the development department budget's efficiently and oversee development activities in coordination with staff.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree with 8-10 years' of relevant work experience leading a development function.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadline-driven priorities in a fast-paced environment. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, growth environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in multi-year, multi-stream campaign development and implementation.
- Significant experience in gift solicitation, donor recognition and stewardship and corporate and foundation relations.
- Extensive experience and record of accomplishment in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and successfully closing six- and seven-figure gifts.
- Strong fundraising and interpersonal skills
- In-depth experience with Microsoft Suite
- Multilingual skills highly preferred
- Ability to contribute to a climate that supports a diverse student body, serves first-generation college students, multilingual learners, and contributions to equity and social justice through their work.
