ELECTRICAL PANEL ASSEMBLY
Alar Water Treatment LLC - Mokena, IL
Established in 1970, Alar Water Treatment is an essential business that designs and builds water pollution control equipment for commercial production and manufacturing industries. Alar continues to grow through its expanding worldwide distribution of chemical and mechanical industrial wastewater systems. We are located in Mokena, IL; with in-house sales, engineering, production, chemical, parts and service departments.
This position requires a mechanically inclined, reliable individual with experience in a shop environment. Alas has experienced plant personnel who will work to provide any requisite training.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Electrical panel wiring, assembly, and mounting of components
- Measure, cut and install conduit and wiring
- Connect electrical components (solenoids, motors, sensors, etc.) on equipment to electrical enclosure
- Point to point wiring of PLC's
- Read, follow, and mark-up electrical schematics
- Work with High/Low voltage equipment (3 phase and 1 single phase electricity)
- Inspect and test parts and products as necessary, during and after assembly, according to established guidelines and quality standards
- Work within a cross-functional team of Welders, Assemblers, and Engineers
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans and established procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Vocation education is preferred, not required
- 1 - 2 years electrical/mechanical wiring and assembly preferred
- Some experience in electrical panel wiring
- Understanding of detail drawings and measurements
- Frequent use of Hand/Power/Air Tools
- Must work well with others and be a team player
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Talking, hearing, walking, sitting, hand/finger use, reaching, and standing. Climb ladders, stairs, and catwalks. Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

This is a full-time position, working an 8 hour shift in person at our Mokena, IL office. Hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday thru Friday.
